Acceptable Use Policy
What you can't do with Workpaper computers.
Workpaper computers are real machines on the internet, and what they do reflects on everyone who uses them. Don't use Workpaper, or let anyone else use your computers, to:
- Break the law, in India or where you are.
- Mine cryptocurrency, or run anything whose main purpose is burning compute.
- Send spam: bulk or unsolicited email, messages or sign-ups.
- Attack or probe others: denial-of-service attacks, port scanning, vulnerability scanning or password guessing against systems you don't own or have written permission to test.
- Spread malware, phishing pages or command-and-control servers.
- Hide abuse: running open proxies, VPNs or Tor exit nodes for others.
- Share illegal or harmful content, including child sexual abuse material (which we report to the authorities), content that infringes copyright or trademarks, or content that harasses, threatens or exploits people.
- Scrape websites in ways that break their terms or the law, or that overload them.
- Get around our limits: creating extra accounts or devices for more free trials, sharing or reselling free computers, or trying to get past the free trial's internet restrictions.
- Attack Workpaper itself: trying to break out of your computer, reach other people's computers or our servers, or overload the service.
What happens if you do
Depending on how serious it is, we may warn you, stop or suspend computers, or close your account, in serious cases without warning. We may keep evidence and report illegal activity to the authorities.
Security research
If you've found a security problem in Workpaper itself, please tell us at [email protected] before telling anyone else. We won't take action against good-faith research that stays within your own computers and accounts.
Reporting abuse
If a Workpaper computer is misbehaving towards you, email [email protected] with what happened, when, and any IP addresses or logs. We act on reports within 24 hours.
